The CITY OF ONEONTA is seeking professional architecture/engineering/planning services to complete the City of Oneonta Armory Structure Report. The Armory, constructed in the early 1900’s, is not fully accessible per current ADA standards. The goal of the building study will primarily be to determine the type, location, and need for added handicapped accessibility components such as ramps, elevators, rails, etc. to accommodate future public uses. To determine the need and type of accessibility components, the building must also undergo a study of building conditions, a code analysis for adaptive reuse, and a needs assessment for ingress/egress, schematic space planning, and cost estimating. The building study will identify the development potential of the vacant spaces for mixed uses including residential apartments, recreation space, and office suites for community-based programs.
