The City of Kingston ("the City") is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified contractors to establish a contract through competitive process to provide billing, collection, and revenue recovery services for the City for ambulance transports and other future service charges.
The billing, collection, and revenue recovery services shall include routine billings for EMS care and transports; follow-up with patients; as well as claim submissions to Medicaid, Medicare, other government insurance companies, insurance companies, and other designated third parties. The billing, collections, and revenue recovery services include fees for Level 1 and Level 2 Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Specialty Care Transport (SCT), loaded mileage of the transport services, medications and/or supplies, and other services as requested and provided by the City. Additional types of service changes may be added during the term of this contract. They may include such charges as; Response to incidents when no patient transport occurs, response to stand-by assignments, and charges for first responder units, such as Fire Department personnel and apparatus.
