It is the intent of the Albany Water Board to solicit unit priced bids for the production and delivery of Portland Cement Concrete mixtures to various locations in the City of Albany.
Section 101, Definitions and Terms, and Section 200, Earthwork, through 700, Materials Details, of the A Standard Specifications, Construction and Materials@ issued by the New York State Department of Transportation dated January 2, 1990 except as herein modified, shall be considered as part of this Project Specification as if fully set forth herein and are hereinafter referred to as the NYSDOT Standard Specifications. If a conflict exists between NYSDOT Standard Specifications and these Project Specifications, the Project Specification shall govern.
The Contractor shall obtain ALL materials to be incorporated into the work from NYSDOT approved sources. The contractor shall obtain a Manufacturer’s Material Certifications and submit same to the Department of Water and Water Supply for each material item as specified in Section 01340, Shop Drawings, Product Date, Samples and Certifications of the General Requirements, indicating that the respective item meets the applicable NYSDOT Standard Specifications or Special Specification included in this Contract. All materials utilized shall comply with the Applicable Specifications of Items listed in the N.Y.S.D.O.T. Standard Specification. The Concrete Batching Plant producing the Concrete Mixture must be approved by the N.Y.S.D.O.T. and be located approximately within a twenty (20) mile radius of the City of Albany Department of Water and Water Supply Facility.
