Capital Region BOCES seek competitive offers for milk in ½ pint containers for use in school lunch programs, as requested by BOCES’ Regional Shared Food Service (SFS) program. This RCO is a cooperative venture among Capital Region BOCES and 20+ public school districts across five geograhpic zones and 14 counties including: Albany, Rensselaer, Fulton, Montgomery, Schenectady, Schoharie, Saratoga, Warren, Washington, Franklin and Hamilton, Columbia, Greene and Dutchess.
BOCES’ Regional Shared Food Service Program operates school lunch programs which obtain federal funding under the National School Lunch Program. In addition, the SFS pursues the additional New York State subsidy for purchasing New York State Products, which is known as the 30% NYS Initiative. This solicitation seeks to meet the requirements of both programs while maintaining legal compliance with the applicable procurement rules and regulations. Offers received will be evaluated on a best value basis with additional points assigned for NY-produced milk.
