Services to be Provided
▪ Temporary Tank Systems
o Provide necessary labor and equipment required to install temporary tank systems equipped with
fuel dispensers for facility use until new tanks are commissioned.
o Tanks should be sized as follows:
▪ (1) 1,000-gallons on-road diesel
▪ (1) 500-gallons gasoline
o Tanks should be provided with secondary containment (i.e., double-walled or situated within
diking and other equipment for overfill protection) and an overfill prevention device (e.g., fuel
level gauge, high-level alarm)
o Location of tanks should be coordinated with the owner.
o Fuel for tank systems will be provided by Broome County.
▪ Tank 134, Tank 135 and Tank 136/137 (Split Tank) Removal:
o Price to include labor, materials, and equipment to remove Tank 134, Tank 135, and Tanks
136/137 (Split Tank).
▪ Provide all necessary regulatory closure documentation of tank systems to agencies and
Broome County.
▪ Disconnection of and removal of aboveground conduit and wiring from stub-ups to tanks.
▪ Removal of tank, appurtenances, concrete shell and sludge for off-site disposal in
accordance with regulations.
▪ Existing stairs/gangway shall remain at the facility. Coordinate with owner for storage.
▪ Contractor to draw down fuel tanks to lowest point prior to removal.
▪ New Tank Installation to Replace Tank 136/137 (New Tank ID numbers TBD)
o Provide necessary labor and equipment to complete the following:
▪ Provide and install new Highland double-walled Fireguard 10,000-gallon tank with split
compartment (5k/5k)
▪ Tank and installation shall meet all current code and regulatory requirements.
▪ Contractor to complete/submit all applicable NYSDEC notices/applications.
▪ Provide fixed stair and gangway to access to top of each tank.
▪ Provide and install all necessary pumps, piping, aboveground wiring/conduit and
appurtenances for a complete and operational tank systems.
▪ New Tank Installation to Replace Tank 135 (New Tank ID numbers TBD)
o Provide necessary labor and equipment to complete the following:
▪ Provide and install new Highland double-walled Fireguard 9,900-gallon tank.
▪ Tank and installation shall meet all current code and regulatory requirements.
▪ Contractor to complete/submit all applicable NYSDEC notices/applications.
▪ Provide and install all necessary pumps, piping, aboveground wiring/conduit and
appurtenances for a complete and operational tank system.
▪ New Tank Installation to Replace Tank 134 (New Tank ID numbers TBD)
o Provide necessary labor and equipment to complete the following:
▪ Provide and install new Highland double-walled 300-gallon tank.

▪ Provide and install all necessary pumps, piping, aboveground wiring/conduit and
appurtenances for a complete and operational tank system.
▪ Remote Fill Boxes Removal and Replacement
o Provide necessary labor and equipment required to replace existing remote fill boxes, fuel piping
and appurtenances.
▪ Fill boxes should be stainless steel constructed, a minimum of 15-gallon capacity,
equipped with a hinged locking door, stainless steel ball valve, and internal hand pump.
▪ Remote Fill Box installation shall meet all current code and regulatory requirements.
▪ Coordinate with owner for storage of existing remote fill boxes.
▪ Replace Existing Veeder-Root TLS-300 Control System with new Veeder-Root TLS-450 Plus Control
System.
o Provide necessary labor and equipment to complete the following:
▪ Replace console, system wiring and aboveground conduit at tanks, utilizing existing
conduits.
▪ Provide new probes and sensors for each tank system.
▪ Commission system to allow for remote monitoring.
▪ Adder 1 – Provide and install Deisel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) 550 Cube (558-gal. at 95% capacity) storage
tank/dispenser system.
o Provide necessary labor and equipment to complete the following:
▪ Provide and install DEF550 Cube for a complete and operational tank system.
▪ DEF fluid will be provided by Broome County.
