Summary of Specifications:
The Broome County STOP-DWI Program annually promotes the STOP-DWI Holiday Classic from December 27th through the 30th. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to provide detailed information so you as a contractor (inn keeper) can provide detailed information and pricing for lodging, daily meals, tournament banquet, meeting rooms and related equipment, services and amenity requirements for hosting a successful tournament.
The complexity of this tournament, and the logistics involved necessitate that the contractor (inn keeper) to either:
• Meet the requirements at one location that is located within walking distance (1.0 mile or less) to the Broome County Arena. The contractor has no transportation requirements in this scenario.
OR…
• Meet the requirements at one location that is located outside walking distance (greater than 1.0 mile) to the Broome County Arena. If the location is outside walking distance, the contractor is responsible to provide shuttle buses to run between the location and the Arena on an hourly basis for 15 hours a day on December 28th, 29th & 30th, and for 6 hours on the 27th. The contractor is responsible for all transportation costs in this scenario.
Proposals submitted must be complete and detailed with all necessary requirements at one facility. Also, submitting a proposal with bussing that requires additional expense, lack of adequate free parking or major modifications may be considered non-responsive and not be given consideration.
