Description

The Greater Binghamton Airport (BGM) is owned by the County of Broome and operated under the authority of the Broome County Department of Aviation (the “County”). BGM is a non-hub airport located 8 miles north of the Greater Binghamton Metropolitan area, which has a population of over 200,000 people and includes a significant presence from numerous corporations such as BAE SYSTEMS, Lockheed Martin, Chobani, IBM, and Rockwell Collins. A thriving educational system exists that includes Binghamton University. In our most recent study, the BGM catchment area contains nearly 500,000 people. It is Broome County’s intention to contract with an Air Service COnsultant for an initial two year term with the potential for a three year renewal term.
