Description

This IFB is for the annual rigging inspection and testing for the Miller Theater. The industry standard ANSI E1.6-1 section 11 specifies that powered rigging systems shall be inspected per the designer or manufacturer criteria or annually. J.R. Clancy, the designer and manufacturer, specifies annual inspections.
From the PowerLift Maintenance Manual

PowerLift hoists must be inspected by qualified personnel every year, or more frequently depending on use and local, state, and federal laws.

Inspection and testing should follow ANSI E1.6-1 – 2021 Section 11.2, 11.3, and 11.4

Additional Bidding Instructions

Please provide written proposal for a three year term agreement with the option for two one-year extensions based on approval by both parties. Proposals must address the full scope of work listed in the RFP document (attached).
Bidders must agree to fix contract fees for the term of the contract. If the organization intends to revise its fee schedule, it must give written notice to the University 90 days in advance of any fee change. Fees may be changed only on the contract expiration date with 90 days’ notice. These fees are subject to negotiation and approval by the University.
