The New York State College of Ceramics (NYSCC) at Alfred is seeking bids for a new
Differential Scanning Calorimeter to be used for characterizing the thermal
properties of glass and ceramics. It will have a special goal of characterizing
sustainably produced glasses and will be used to arrive at key manufacturing
thermal properties. This DSC will support graduate and undergraduate students in
their research, using materials ranging from oxide glasses through non-oxide
ceramics.
