Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Contractor Development - Testing and Serviceability Assessment Methods Contractor shall provide a recommended approach for the following pole inspection and testing aspects of the wood pole maintenance and management program. Further, Contractor shall identify the data collected and provide an explanation as to how the collected data is used and analyzed to determine whether a pole is serviceable and how each pole condition of serviceability is determined. i. Resistograph Boring Techniques. Every pole which has accumulated ten (10) years or more of service or is on the inspection and testing schedule and not visually rejected shall be bored utilizing Resistograph equipment. ii. Pole Assessment Categories. Contractor shall determine the categorical status of a pole after the pole has been tested and inspected. Categories may include a serviceable pole, a reject pole, a restorable reject pole, a priority reject pole and priority restorable reject pole. iii. Pole Treatments. Contractor shall indicate if a pole qualifies for pesticide treatment. FEUS shall determine if the pole should be treated or replaced at its discretion. Contractor shall be responsible for treating the pole upon the decision of FEUS.
