1. Intent a. Resurfacing Cooper Street Tennis Courts for safety of use for both the public and local schools. b. Repairs need to be made in accordance to the guidelines of Premier Court Systems. Re-seam outer edge of 2 tennis courts; resurface and re-line courts for tennis and pickle ball use @ Cooper Street Courts, 1551 Cooper Street. Re-surface 2 adjacent courts at Cooper Street Courts and re-line. 2. Minimum Requirements a. Clean off each court with a pressure washer and remove dirt and debris as needed. b. The entire surface should be inspected for minor depressions or prominences. Any puddle area that covers two coins should be marked and repaired with the Court Patch Binder using the manufacturer's instructions and dosages. After patching, the surface will not vary more than 6 mm measured in three meters in any direction. c. For the Patch Binder application, use steel trowel and/or metal screed to fill and level depressions, in the tennis court. d. The surface to receive the Acrylic Resurfacer Mix shall be of uniform texture, clean, and free of grease, oils, and other foreign materials. e. Break open and patch cracks. f. Apply one coat of TPS 5000 Acrylic Resurfacer Coating at a rate of 0.7 gallons per square yard. Silica sand needs to be mixed into each mix to provide a smooth and textured underlayment for the TPS 5000 color coatings. g. Apply 2 coats of TPS 5000 fortified Acrylic Color Coating with the playing area’s to be a Forest Green color and outside boundaries a Terra Cotta color. Game lines per plans. h. Lay out and paint 2” wide lines using line tape sealer as a primer coat to ensure razor sharp edges. Paint white with TPS 5000 line paint in accordance with the USTA and ASBA specifications for double play. Pickle Ball lines will be a tan color. i. Clear all trash and debris from the job site and leave courts ready for play. j. Total Surface for resurfacing 26,647 SQFT
