Revitalization project occurring to take the existing Lomas Bridge down to structure to support remediation and rebuild with a design that reflects that it’s prominence of arrival at the University of New Mexico, and serve as a connection between staff parking structure and the UNM Hospital. UNMH and UNM will request (3) bridge design options along with (2) alteration options as well after determination is made from original (3) options submitted and (3) materials options that incorporate the Pueblo Revival theme from the design team. The design team will also Include 3D renderings of the bridge option selected with flythrough/animation for review from stake holders. This project will require at a minimum structural, building envelope, plumbing/drainage, signage, electrical and access control portions to meet the intent of revitalize the bridge for its intended purpose while meeting all codes adopted by our Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) including ADA. UNMH is requesting the design options include a canopy, providing a covered (non-conditioned) walk path from the garage to the Ambulatory Care Center, and include video message boards with maintenance platform to promote marketing initiatives. The awarded CMAR Contractor is responsible for collaborating with the design team in design reviews, comments and Description constructability of the overall design, cost estimation, and all construction efforts and services to support Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) delivery method with early work packages to promote efficient select demolition to promote build back for a fully function project for its intended purpose.
