Cannon AFB, New Mexico (CAFB) is publicizing this SOURCES SOUGHT notice to gather industry information with respect to a firm-fixed price contract for Training Weapons at CAFB.
No solicitation is being issued at this time. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB) and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered proposals, nor will any award be made as a result of this SOURCES SOUGHT. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice. Any future solicitation, including specifications will be made available only on the Contract Opportunities website (https://sam.gov/). Interested parties are solely responsible for monitoring the aforementioned website for release of a solicitation package and/or any updates and/or amendments. The Government is seeking to identify qualified, experienced, and interested businesses capable of performing the type of work as described herein.
The following NAICS Code applies to this SOURCES SOUGHT: 332994 - Small Arms Manufacturing. The size standard for this NAICS is 1,000 employees.
CAFB is seeking sources interested in a possible contract to provide 14 Training Weapons to Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, transportation, and other items and services necessary to provide 14 small arms enemy AK-47s that are incapable of chambering and firing live ammunition and capable of firing FX 5.56mm training ammunition supplied by the USAF munitions system. 4 of these training weapons will be a semi-automatic variant and 10 will be a fully-automatic variant.
