Region 9 Education Cooperative (REC 9) School Based Health Center is seeking proposals for a primary care provider or medical group to work part time serving students, families, and school staff in Lincoln and Otero Counties, New Mexico. Provider can work in person at Ruidoso High School or through telemedicine. Essential Functions: ● Provide direct physical health care including sick visits, sports physicals, well child checks and sexual health for referred patients ● Provide health and wellness care to students of all ages. ● Treat minor acute injuries. ● Educate and participate in patient advocacy. ● Diagnose illnesses and conditions. ● Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic tests. ● Conduct examinations, provide counseling, and prescribe medications. ● Document services to patients as identified in the treatment plan according to professional board standards and consistent with SBHC policies and procedures and Medicaid billing requirements. ● Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals stored in the clinic and adhere to the Pharmacy Policy and Procedures manual
