The City of Alamogordo is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide on-call well and pump services to support its municipal water production, monitoring, and reclaimed water systems. These services will primarily be performed within Otero County, New Mexico, but may occasionally extend beyond the county limits as determined by the City. System Overview The City’s potable water system includes 11 active production wells, comprised of: 8 submersible pump and motor assemblies 1 water-lubricated pump and motor assembly 2 oil-lubricated pump and motor assemblies In addition, the City maintains: 3 monitoring wells at the Snake Tank well field 3 monitoring wells at the Brackish Water Treatment Plant 6 monitoring wells located within City limits for monitoring the discharge of the City’s reclaimed water system The City also operates: 6 potable booster pump stations housing approximately 15 pumps 8 reclaimed booster pump stations, housing approximately 16 pumps Pump types include horizontal and vertical split case, close-coupled, and vertical turbine pumps. Many are supported by Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) motor systems. Electric motors range in size from 7.5 horsepower to 300 horsepower. Required Services The selected contractor shall provide all necessary tools, equipment, materials, and labor to perform the following services on an as-needed basis: Removal, inspection, repair, and reinstallation of electric motors Removal and reinstallation of pumps and associated piping Pump and/or motor replacement and repair Well-cleaning and disinfection Swabbing, wire brushing, acidizing, and casing repair Well-development and redevelopment Installation and calibration of Solinst level loggers Gravel pack inspection and adjustment Vibration analysis and alignment checks Video logging and inspection...
