The purpose of the Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiations for the procurement to conduct facility drinking water outlet inventories, provide water sampling training to school and childcare facility staff who opt to perform their own drinking water sampling, and to coordinate with facility staff to perform the drinking water sampling for those who opt to have sampling conducted by the contract recipient. In addition, if lead is found above the action level, remediation assistance will be provided. These tasks will be performed under the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) Lead in Schools and Childcare Facilities Drinking Water (LWSC) Program.
