Provide Greenhouses, Parks, and Garden Supplies to various City Departments for the upkeep of existing facilities throughout the City. The BioPark includes a 66-acre zoo, a 36-acre Botanic Garden, a Butterfly Pavilion, a Bugarium, an Aquarium, and a 15-acre heritage farm. The BioPark also includes two 10,000-square-foot glass conservatories housing plants from the desert, Mediterranean, and tropical climate zones, as well as two 5,000 square feet of collection and production greenhouses that house and grow living plant exhibit materials for all of the BioPark facilities. Product quality needs are to remain high to ensure the safety and welfare of all animal and plant life that is part of the permanent collection and maintain exemplary horticulture standards required of a public Botanic Garden and Association of Zoos and Aquariums accredited facility.
