The District seeks qualified attorneys to perform general legal services, on behalf of the District, as requested by the Superintendent/designee and/or the Board of Education. The District will issue multiple awards for this proposal if determined to be in the District’s best interest. The successful firms(s) must be available and prepared to be contacted daily on a significant number of unrelated issues in a wide variety of areas. A prompt and timely response whether verbal or by written opinion is essential. Counsel will be expected to advise appropriate CMS personnel as to potential problem areas, the impact of new legislation or any similar issue that may require attention. A proposal is requested for the 2025-2026 school year. This proposal may be renewed for up to three (3) additional school years, which begin on July 1, 20xx and end on June 30, 20xx. RFP renewals for each school year must be mutually agreed upon by both parties prior to July 1, 20xx of each subsequent year. Annual renewals are contingent on approval of the Board of Education.
