The County desires to enter into a non-exclusive contractual relationship with a practicing attorney/law firm to serve as the “County Attorney,” and provide legal advice to the County; prepare and examine contracts and other legal documents for the County; develop, amend and work with County employees on policies, including but not limited to policies for the Detention Center, Personnel, Procurement, Land Use and other County Departments; provide legal counsel with respect to personnel matters; draft ordinances and ordinance amendments and resolutions; and generally perform the function of a County Attorney as may be required by the Board of County Commissioners of Lincoln County, including but not limited to the following: 1. Attend All Board of Lincoln County Commission regular meetings, study sessions, hearings or court procedures, special meetings and hearings that may be called by the Board of County Commissions and be prepared to provide counsel or post-disciplinary hearings as outlined in the County Personnel Policy and as requested by the New Mexico County Insurance Authority, and executive sessions of the Board of County Commissioners of Lincoln County.
