Wi-Fi Accessibility and Broadband Development: • Develop and help deploy a public campaign to increase access to Wi-Fi for marginalized, unserved, and underserved demographics • Assist with promotion and communication strategy • Review, develop, and include support for the COSF Library’s Wi-Fi Accessibility program • Assist OED with strategic deployment of ARPA Broadband funding. o Review the current project scope submitted to The US Treasury. o Give recommendations to OED for a continuation of the program or alternatives. ▪ If relevant, identify potential locations for the installation of WiFi utility poles ▪ Manage and assist with the logistics of the procurement and installation of Wi-Fi utility poles o Assist with tracking and reporting per ARPA and COSF requirements. Strategic Planning: • Develop a strategy and action plan for OED to increase access to WiFi and broadband infrastructure in Santa Fe • Compile data in order to support decision making • Research and identify opportunities and sources for broadband funding. • Make recommendations to OED for financial opportunities. • Identification of grants and funding opportunities for broadband • Identify strategic partnerships including, county, regional, and State stakeholders. • Upon project completion, provide OED with a presentation to the City of Santa Fe’s Economic Development Advisory Committee.
