The bookstore is located on the first floor of the Fidel Student Services Center. The selected firm is to provide a high level of personal service to the Institute community while exercising strict control over bookstore function. Operator must manage purchases, inventory, and sales of textbooks, clothing, office supplies, personal items, calculators, computer software, insignia items, fiction and nonfiction books, greeting cards, related non-text technical books, and other items as mutually agreed upon. The selected firm’s bookstore manager and staff will assume the responsibility to work with and solicit from the faculty the textbook adoption data and information. New Mexico Tech agrees to exercise its best efforts to assist the selected firm in determining the appropriate textbook adoptions required by the faculty. The selected firm on its part shall make every effort to fill such orders and to provide excellent customer service to the students and the faculty. It shall be the selected firm’s responsibility to initiate action by supplying adoption request forms and the date they are needed to the faculty. The selected firm will notify all parties of the text ordering deadline dates and will honor those dates. The selected firm will persist in getting the appropriate textbooks stocked prior to classes starting but may not be held to the same standards if the text information was not provided according to the accepted policy.
