Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of New Mexico's Public Education Department (PED) is requesting proposals to establish a statewide 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) out of school program that serves students who attend PED-approved qualifying eligible schools. The 21st CCLC program will provide students with a broad range of exceptional school-linked learning and developmental opportunities, designed to reinforce topics introduced during the students' traditional learning day. Program activities must support student academic growth in meeting the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in core academic subjects, such as language arts and mathematics. All activities must be innovative and intentional, meaning the activities are sequenced, active (hands-on), and are built around focused learning goals that are shared with youth.
