The County of Essex is responsible for the treatment and well-being of approximately 180 male and female psychiatric patients of all ethnic origins at the Essex County Hospital Center (ECHC), located at 204 Grove Avenue, Cedar Grove, NJ 07009. A component of this health care regimen is the provision of “basic maintenance” tonsorial (hair cutting) services. The successful bidder must be able to work harmoniously with this patient population and: • Be a New Jersey Board licensed Barber or Beautician. Copy of license must be included with the bid submission for all staff that will be performing the services. • Minimum of four (4) years of professional hair cutting experience. Must list experience and include references. • Perform all work on-site, selecting (1) day per week, Monday through Friday, between 9 am and 3 pm. Selected day will be mutually agreed upon between vendor and ECHC.
