a. The preparation of plans and specifications required for this project shall be in accordance with the Authority's Design Manual, dated May 2007, or latest, the 2016 Standard Specifications, 7th Edition, the latest Standard Supplementary Specifications and the Authority’s Manual for Traffic Control in Work Zones. b. The Successful Qualified Firm shall evaluate the location of the deterioration and anticipated duration of repair with respect to the accessibility to site, including jacking or temporary support restrictions, obstructions, or special consideration due to the proximity of utilities and/or drainage inlets, and geometric limitations affecting contractor access. c. A seismic analysis is not required for the broken / deformed Mass Energy Regulator (MER) Springs at the girder isolation bearings at Pier Nos. 11 and 14, however it will be requested to perform a seismic analysis ignoring these springs to determine if their replacement is actually needed. The Successful Qualified Firm shall coordinate with the bearing manufacturer to assist with the planning of the replacement operations/procedures (if warranted).
