• Furnish on-site paper shredding trucks with the capacity of at least 10,000 pounds of shredded paper and capability to shred a minimum of 6,000 pounds per hour. • Shredding truck(s) shall arrive at each event empty. • A minimum of three (3) functional totes per truck shall be made available for use at each event. • Mobile Paper Shredding Truck shall have a fully functional camera system that allows participants to observe the shredding operation. • The vendor shall provide qualified/experienced mobile paper shredding truck driver/operator, and if mutually agreed to as deemed necessary, a driver’s helper. Vendor and their employees shall be bonded and insured. • The vendor shall be at the designated shred event site for three and one-half hours (3.5) hours or until the mobile shredder is full, whichever occurs first. The vendor shall be paid for each quarter hour past the 3.5 hours at the proportionate hourly rate. Travel time to arrive at the beginning and return to home facility at the conclusion of the event is not included. • All events shall run from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon or until the mobile shredding truck(s) is/are full, whichever occurs first, or unless otherwise specified by the Office of Environmental & Solid Waste. Residents who arrive at the site before 12:00 PM shall be serviced, as long as the truck is not yet full. • Shred truck(s) shall arrive at each event in time to setup and be ready to accept residents’ paper at 8:30am (promptly). If the shred truck arrives late at an event so that shredding does not start at the advertised time of 9:00 AM, a deduction for each quarter hour late based on the hourly rate, will be made from that event’s bill. • Provide certification of the total amount of shredded paper – in pounds - for each event, and that the shredded paper is processed for recycling and delivered to a recycling market (the certification should be sent with the invoice for payment). In cases where more than one truck is at an event, an itemized weight certification is required indicating the amount of paper processed by each truck. • Under no circumstance is shred event paper to be disposed as solid waste. • Certain shred events shall require the use of more than one (1) shred truck simultaneously. See the enclosed TENTATIVE 2025 Schedule of Events for the number of shred trucks required per event. In the event additional two (2) truck events are deemed necessary by the Office of Environmental & Solid Waste, the vendor shall be advised of this need at least fourteen (14) days prior to those events. Please note that the dates and locations for 2025 are tentative and subject to possible change.
