Rowan University is seeking professional planning services to develop a Framework Plan that will organize future growth, promote a robust sense of identity, and maximize quality and function of outdoor space for the mmonly referred to as West Campus, the land has been identified for development that is synergistic with Rowan’s other campuses and supports the strategic plan. Ultimately, the West Campus is intended to connect research and academics with business and industry, fostering entrepreneurial growth and innovation.West Campus over a 10-year timeframe. The vision includes subdividing the property into lots for lease connected through a logical circulation system that will be enticing to future tenants. Critical to the plan will be developing an integrated approach for academics, technology, industrial use, medical services, and retail food opportunities to support the campus within a cohesive fabric of engaging outdoor amenities. Together, the structures, planting, circulation, signs, furnishings, and lighting, along with other features, will communicate a unique sense of place appropriate to the site’s context in South Jersey and its connection to Rowan University. Creating a cohesive sense of place through thoughtful site layout, design standards and guidelines will be a key component of the Framework Plan.
