Storage practices shall include but are not limited to good sanitation practices, rodent control, and weevil infestation control for grain, proper palletization, proper location and stacking, removal of railroad damaged products, and maintenance of proper storage temperatures. The Director of Food and Nutrition Services reserves the right to assign a representative of the District to visit the storage facilities of the contractor at any time during the course of the contract for any possible violations. D1.5 Time and date pick up schedules will be strictly adhered to. The District’s Director of Food and Nutrition Services will only authorize changes. Exceptions will be specifically noted by a separate detail sheet. D1.6 Contractor must have the capacity to store up to 5,000 cases of frozen and/or refrigerated foods (approximately 35-55 lbs. per case), 4,400 cases of canned goods (mostly #10 - #6 cans) and 2,100 cases of dry goods. In the event the awarded vendor is unable to store the full quantity of each item at any particular time, they agree to provide storage at another acceptable location, paying any difference in rate incurred.
