Specifications include, but are not limited to:It is the purpose of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (the “Authority”) to bid for approximately 20,000 tons of granular sodium chloride (Rock Salt) treated with liquid magnesium chloride and organic based performance enhancer (OBPE) per specifications for the New Jersey Turnpike (the “Turnpike”) and the Garden State Parkway (the “Parkway”) locations along the Southern end of the roadways. . The intent of the Authority is to award contract(s) to the responsible bidder(s) whose bids, conforming to this RFB, is/are most advantageous to the Authority The intent is to select Contractor(s) to deliver Premixed Rock Salt per specifications to specific Maintenance Locations. These locations (districts) are represented in the pricing tables in the RFB and in Exhibit A (attached). The intended use of this product would be to treat roadways for snow and ice control. Any product the Contractor will supply the Authority must meet current OSHA standards.
