1. Legal research and/or advisory opinions as needed; 2. Represent the Township in federal and state courts and administrative forums; 3. Review, analyze and advise the Township on any application before it; 4. Review and/or draft resolutions and ordinances; 5. Attend all meetings of the Township Mayor and Council and any other board or committee as directed; 6. Designate an attorney primarily responsible for the contract who will act as the Director of Law-Township Attorney and perform all requirements of the position of Township Attorney pursuant to the Township of Bloomfield Township Code Section 5-40 et seq. 7. Handle all legal matters concerning the Bloomfield Parking Utility. 8. Notify the Township of changes in law or regulations, as well as Court decisions, that impact the Township and its officials; and 9. Any other matters as directed by the appropriate Township official(s). 10. Township Attorney shall not provide the following services: Zoning Board Attorney, Planning Board Attorney, Bond Counsel, Public Defender, Municipal Prosecutor, Tax Appeal Attorney.
