Conveyor Length: Conveyor length shall be minimum seventy (70) feet to maximum seventy-five (75) feet length (center of head roller to center of trail roller) Conveyor Width: Minimum twenty four (24) inch belt width Conveyor Capacity: Minimum 300 TPH (tons per hour) of rock salt Travel Height: Maximum 12 feet 6 inches Operating Height: Shall be adjustable up to a minimum of thirty (30) feet. Charge Hopper: Manufacturer recommended size charge hopper shall be provided. 4.4.1.2 CONVEYOR AND CHARGE HOPPER CONSTRUCTION: Construction: The conveyor and charge hopper shall be constructed of 304 stainless steel. This includes, but is not limited to: all conveyor sides and bracing; under-trusses; dust covers; and deflectors. Note: All sharp edges shall be ground dull. 4.4.1.3 ENGINE/DRIVE SYSTEM: General: The engine shall be capable of meeting the conveyor capacity of 300 tons per hour of rock salt. Manufacturer’s rated engine horsepower to accommodate this capacity shall be offered as part of the Quote price. Power Source: Diesel, 4 cylinder with cold weather starting package. Engine shall be adequately located and/or shielded to eliminate direct exposure to rock salt during loading and operation. The shielding, motor mounts and frame shall be constructed of 304 stainless steel.
