The Jersey City Public School District's Special Education Department is seeking proposals from an outside agency or a private practitioner to provide Speech-Language therapy and evaluation services to students with Individualized Educational Plans [I.E.P.]. These services are to be conducted by a specialist qualified in the field of Speech-Language Pathology, and who is approved by the State of New Jersey to provide these services as requested by the child study team and as specified in N.J.A.C. 6A:14; Special Education. Jersey City Public Schools is the second largest school district in the State of New Jersey and is comprised of forty-one schools. This district has historically hired full time personnel to provide this service but due to the demands for speech-language therapy and evaluations, additional personnel will be required.
