Provide those services outside the scope of the duties of the City Engineer, the Head of Department of Engineering for the City. When directed, the Special Services Engineer shall provide services necessary to: • Perform Engineering design review • Provide Municipal land use law (MLUL) consulting services, environmental assessments, geotechnical, landscaping and other engineering services. • Review of complex major site plans and subdivisions with respect to overall design, roadway layout, lot layout and circulation, drainage facilities and downstream impact, traffic impacts, off-tract improvement, map filing law, and compliance with City ordinances. • Review and make recommendations concerning repairs, reconstruction and/or improvements to the required municipal infrastructure, • Observe the installation(s) of Municipal and private site improvements, to determine the performance with municipal requirements and approvals granted by the City Planning Board and/or the City Zoning Board of Adjustment. • Assist municipal officers and departments, including assistance to the Construction Code Official, with respect to the issuance of building permits, certificates of occupancy and related permits associated with land development and site infrastructure. • Provide technical consultant with municipal officials, agents and boards, as directed. • Prepare plans and specifications for City construction projects such as the Radford Ferry Intermodal Transportation Center.
