Specifications include, but are not limited to: The number of "operating hours" for which payment will be made will be the number of hours each truck is actually engaged in snow removal operations on County Roads. The operating time for each truck will begin as soon as the assigned truck reaches the County Road to begin snow removal operations and will end when he leaves the County Road, except when the truck has been placed on stand-by for all or a part of such period.; The number of "stand-by hours" for which payment will be made shall be the total number of hours each truck, including drivers, is on a stand-by basis as ordered by the Supervisor.; Stand-by time shall be paid only for equipment fully manned and ready for immediate operation.; Payment for stand-by hours shall be made for the quantity of hours, as above, determined at the price bid per stand-by hour.; The bid price for a stand-by hour shall include the cost of furnishing a heavy-duty truck, drivers, other labor, materials, fuel, oil, ballasts, repairs, maintenance, transportation, insurance, supervision, and all costs and expenses necessary therefore and incidental thereto.; Subcontracting of SNOW REMOVAL services is NOT permitted.; The Successful Bidder shall be allowed one-half (1/2) hour for each truck for every six hours of "Operating" time for meals. This one-half (1/2) hour period shall be included in the "Operating" time to be paid by the County.; The Successful Bidder(s) shall furnish to the County all trucks, plows and all necessary equipment and personnel to perform the work of SNOW REMOVAL on the road.; At a minimum, all drivers shall possess a valid New Jersey Class B Commercial Driver’s License.; The Successful Bidder shall be able to provide a minimum of eight (8) trucks if bidding on all Sections OR a minimum of two (2) trucks per Section if not bidding on all Sections. Each truck shall be equipped with at least a six (6) cubic yard dump body and ten (10) foot long plow with metal blades only for snow removal.; The County Supervisor of Roads & Bridges or designee will determine the number of trucks needed for any snow removal operation.; Upon receipt of a telephone call from the County Supervisor of Roads & Bridges or designee, the Successful Bidder shall immediately procure the necessary staff to operate the number of trucks required by the County Supervisor of Roads & Bridges and shall inform the County Supervisor by telephone when all staff are in and the trucks are ready to leave his/her yard. Trucks shall not leave the Successful Bidder’s yard without orders from the County Supervisor. Upon receipt of orders to proceed, equipment shall be dispatched to begin SNOW REMOVAL.; The Successful Bidder shall furnish relief drivers as required.
