Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Township of Franklin is seeking bids for a vendor to provide snow removal services with one (1) truck and driver per route with up to twenty (20) routes be filled. This contract will be awarded to one vendor. REQUIRMENTS 1.1. It is the intent of this bid to obtain equipment as designated herein, for use in the Township snow removal program. It is anticipated that one (1) truck per route will be required and up to twenty (20) routes be filled. 1.2. The Township will only consider bids from vendors who can supply all 20 vehicles. 1.3. All equipment shall be furnished with an experienced, licensed driver for the entire time of the “call out” period. All bids shall contain consideration of the successful bidder supplying all his or her own operating expenses. 1.4. The trucks shall be single-axle dump trucks or a ¾-ton or larger four-wheel drive vehicle equipped with a minimum eight foot (8’) power angle plow. All vehicles must be in good mechanical condition, equipped with suitable chains or snow treaded tires. The Township will supply all trucks with a radio or GPS device. 1.5. The bidder will provide the snow plow, mounting rack, pump, hoses, electric cables and necessary control for his/her vehicles. The vehicles owners would be responsible for installing/hooking up the equipment. 1.6. The bidder shall supply fuel for the vehicles at the beginning and throughout the plowing session. The Township agrees to supply fuel to the contractor ONLY under unusual circumstances. The contractor will be required to reimburse the Township for all fuel used by the contractor.
