Specifications include, but are not limited to: Vehicles and equipment used to perform tree care services (e.g., aerial lift, wood chipper, support vehicles) will, to the extent feasible, be positioned on paved or gravel surfaces. When it is necessary to operate vehicles or equipment on turf or on tree root zones during wet soil conditions, the Contractor shall use ground protection equipment to protect soil from compaction and turf damage. If a crane is requested by Contractor it must be approved by the Horticulture Manager or Property Coordinator. If Contractor does not have a crane as part of their equipment fleet, the Park Commission will pay up to $1,200 per day for both crane rental and operator above the daily rate.
