Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to make such awards as may be in its best interest. 2. For storm events the contractor shall perform all sidewalk, crosswalk, bus stop clearing and salting when snow begins to accumulate. 3. The contractor will be called in by the Superintendent of Public Works or his duly authorized representative. Usually there will be a time set for each storm but if there is an emergency situation, the contractor must be on site within one hour of telephone notification by Superintendent of Public Works. 4. Snow removal during work and school hours will need to be consistent in order to keep pedestrians safe. (See attached lists and maps). 5. Sidewalk, bus stop and crosswalk clearing shall be performed such that no more than 3 inches of snow is allowed to accumulate at any time on the traveled way and/or on any sidewalks.
