1. The School Physician shall be familiar with the functioning and policies of the Penns GroveCarneys Point Regional School District to the extent necessary to enable him/her to perform the functions assigned. 2. Consult with the Superintendent or designee on medical matters concerning the district on an as-needed basis including approval of medical policies. 3. Upon request of the Superintendent, give opinions and decisions relative to matters of contagious diseases and the physical and medical fitness of students and employees. When requested by the School Administration, provide information or advice on health matters to the staff including meeting with the nurses to provide guidance on any new evidence based practices/developments. 4. Provide consultation to the school district medical staff regarding the delivery of school health services, which includes special health care needs of technology supported and medically fragile children, including those covered by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Provide written standing orders for medical staff, which shall be reviewed and reissued before the beginning of each school year. 5. Consult with Child Study Team members and review student records, as needed
