Specifications include, but are not limited to: Bidders are required to submit unit prices for delivery of Treated Rock Salt to designated locations. See the definition of delivery (“Delivery”) in Section III.C (p. 17) of the Specifications. In addition, details of the mile markers and exact locations can be found in Appendix A. All quantities of Treated Rock Salt listed in the bid sheets are annual estimated requirements(tonnage). In order to ensure adequate supply of Treated Rock Salt, the listed requirements per location are allocated on a 50/30/20% split between primary, secondary and tertiary vendors. 50% of a location’s requirement will be awarded to a primary vendor; 30% will be awarded to a secondary vendor and; 20% will be awarded to the tertiary vendor as outlined in the bid sheets. Bidders may bid on one or multiple locations as a primary vendor, secondary vendor and a tertiary vendor. However, Contracts shall only be awarded to the lowest bidder in each category. No vendor may be awarded the same location in more than one category. Note, that the quantities listed for each location in Section III.C.7 of this RFB are the Authority’s annual estimated requirement for that location. In the resulting Agreement(s), the Authority is obligated to guarantee 40% of the annual estimated requirement (tonnage) listed for each location during the contract period as a minimum guarantee. All items are to be bid FOB Destination. All shipping, handling, and other costs should be considered in bid price. CONTRACT(S) WILL BE AWARDED TO THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER WITH THE LOWEST TOTAL EXTENDED AMOUNT FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL LOCATION. Bidders are requested to submit unit pricing for untreated rock salt. Pricing should constitute the price per ton for the untreated rock salt, including the transportation cost to have the untreated rock salt delivered either to one of two Authority locations: 1) Parkway PMD5 Telegraph Hill/Holmdel and 2) Turnpike D6A - Woodbridge. The order amount would be up to 20,000 tons with no minimum guaranteed requirement. BASIS OF AWARD – FOR UNTREATED ROCK SALT: CONTRACT(S) WILL BE AWARDED TO THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER BASED ON THE PRICE PER TON.
