Rowan University is requesting an Architect and Engineering (AE) Proposal for a new Edelman College of Communication, Humanities & Social Sciences. On behalf of Rowan, Pure Project Management (PurePM) has been engaged as the Project Manager and is leading the development of the project team through the Request for Proposal (RFP) process with the AE being one of the key components to this team. The College of Humanities & Social Sciences (CHSS) and the Ric Edelman College of Communications & Creative Arts at Rowan University is currently located in multiple buildings throughout the campus. Rowan University is planning to build a new Ric Edelman College building that embraces a technology-first approach to design and purpose, driving experiential learning for 21st-century students and the workforce. This transformative building will pursue a data-driven approach, integrating and harnessing all building-generated data to drive desired outcomes, improve experiences, and ensure flexibility in space utilization. Designed to support the evolving needs of both students and faculty, the building will foster an innovative and dynamic environment, prioritizing flexibility, technology integration and shared spaces. In addition to centralizing CHSS and the Ric Edelman College, the building will also house Information Technology leadership and staff, creating a hub that promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, enhances the integration of technology across academic and administrative functions, and positions the concept to begin setting a standard for technology and innovation integration within buildings across the entire campus.
