The Jersey City Public Schools’ Curriculum and Instruction Department is currently in the process of adopting Spanish adaptive program for grades K-5. The Spanish language program must include the following: ❏ Available in Spanish ❏ Available in print and digital forms ❏ Aligned to the 2020 New Jersey Student Learning Standards - World Languages ❏ Resources to support all mandates set forth by the New Jersey Department of Education ❏ Assessments aligned with the ACTFL Can Do Performance expectations ❏ Data performance & engagement reports ❏ Google Classroom integration to transfer assessments ❏ Materials to support foundational language skills in Spanish and the 5 C’s of ACTFL (Communication, Culture, Connections, Comparisons, & Communities) across all three modes of communication ❏ Integrated Performance Assessments along with a diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments ❏ Intervention and enrichment support to address the academic, social and emotional needs of all student populations ❏ Computer-Assisted Language Learning tools to collect evidence of speaking tasks
