The provision of rent calculation services in accordance with the City’s ordinances governing rentals and related auditing services from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026. All candidates are required to comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. as amended. (Affirmative Action, see Exhibit A attached hereto). The successful candidate must be a New Jersey licensed accountant and have significant experience in New Jersey public sector auditing and accounting as determined by the City and maintain the appropriate license(s). The successful candidate will provide the City with consulting services related, but not necessarily limited to the calculation of rents in accordance with the City’s ordinances and review of Union City landlord registration statements and comparison of those statements against the requirements of the ordinance(s) applicable to rental payments and rental charges. The successful proposer will provide a report to the City of its findings, including any and all violations discovered. The successful proposer will also perform any related services as directed by the City.
