Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1 All services shall be administered and supervised by a qualified individual trained to provide religious services and religious counseling. A summary of qualifications and proof of credentials shall be submitted with the response to this RFP. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years documented experience in Religious Services and Counseling. 2 All services shall be of a high quality and performed in a professional manner. All behavior shall conform to applicable professional standards. All materials for distribution including but not limited to printed matter, movies and audiotapes shall be approved prior to use in the jail by the warden or his designee. Standard Operating Procedures/Rules and Regulations of the Somerset County Jail shall be adhered to by Contractor personnel. The Contractor and all employees shall be required to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures and rules and regulations of the Somerset County Jail. In addition, they will be required to undergo training procedures mandated by NJ Statute prior to commencement of services. Upon completion of orientation, the Contractor and all employees shall complete a sign off sheet indicating that they have read and understood the above material. 3 Services shall include but are not limited to: Religious Counseling: A. Weekly religious services to include Christian, Jewish, Muslim and any other denomination deemed necessary. Crisis religious counseling for inmates and their families shall be provided on a 24 hour, 7 day per week basis as necessary. B. All inmates shall be afforded full and equal opportunity to practice their religion, or refrain from involvement in religion subject only to the limitations necessary to maintain order and security. C. The adult county correctional facility shall provide for inmate participation in religious services on a voluntary basis. D. The Contractor shall ensure that weekly religious services are conducted for each housing unit. E. Special holiday services shall be provided such as, but not limited to, Christmas, Easter, Passover and Ramadan. F. Recruitment and coordination of volunteer clergy in providing for the spiritual needs of members of their particular faith. G. Provide religious study groups for various denominations as deemed necessary.
