Various Camden County Departments, including Police Services ("CCDPS”), the Office of the Sheriff, the Camden County Correctional Facility, and the Camden County Juvenile Detention Facility, requires psychological screening examination services for all pre-employment officer recruits, intergovernmental transfers and, at times, existing County employees that may seek a position within the Department(s). Fitness for duty examinations may be required for an existing employee to determine whether he or she is psychologically capable of performing the essential functions of their present job requirements, or where there is evidence that the employee may not be fit for duty, and when such exams are required for returning an employee from restricted duty status, such as complying with an order to return weapon carrying privileges. 2025 RFP template - authorized January 3, 2025 9 In addition, the Department(s) may require testing for certain civilian positions. Such a determination shall be made by the department requesting the examination services. The County intends to establish a pool of qualified vendors for this purpose. There is no specific number of examinations required of the vendor(s) that will be included in the County pool. All testing/screening shall be conducted by a licensed psychologist. The specific required testing for both pre-employment and fitness for duty employees includes but may not be limited to the following: Judgment Intelligence Flexibility Aggression Motivation Maturity Honesty & integrity Team Orientation Acceptance and recognition of danger Ability to cope with crisis situations Ability to follow orders Ability to read, write, speak and communicate in English Absence of significant Racial bias Absence of significant Gender bias
