1. PREVENTION SERVICES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE- RENT, MORTGAGE, UTILITY A maximum of up to four (4) months of assistance in the form of short term, non-recurring payment of back rental arrearages, mortgage arrearages, and utility arrearages for individuals and/or families who are ineligible for Emergency Assistance through a public assistance grant. Consumers must be able to demonstrate need through no fault of their own and sustainability after assistance has been provided. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE- HOUSING RELOCATION (SECURITY DEPOSIT) The payment of a security deposit (month and a half - according to New Jersey law) for individuals and/or families who are ineligible for Emergency Assistance, Social Security Insurance (SSI) or any other public assistance grant. Consumers must be able to demonstrate need through no fault of their own and sustainability after assistance has been provided. HOTEL/MOTEL This service is to provide emergency placement in a commercial establishment to individuals and/or families who are victims of fire, domestic violence, handicapped individuals and those who own therapeutic pets. The local hotels/motels may be used as a last resort placement for a very limited period and under certain special conditions. The rates paid by the County shall not exceed the State-approved rates, as provided in N.J.A.C. 10:90- 6.7.
