If it becomes necessary for repairs to be made to any one of the irrigation systems, the vendor will be expected to proceed as follows: • Upon being called by the county the vendor will be expected to report to the site where the repair is to be made to evaluate the situation to determine what work is necessary to make the repairs. • The vendor will be expected to provide the county with a free estimate for the work needing to be done before any work is started. • All price estimates must include the cost of parts and labor needed for the repair work to be completed. • Work will not commence until the County has given the approval. • Approval will not occur until the price estimate has been received and evaluated by the County. • Parts and materials are to be listed separately from labor charges • All new installations required by the County for underground lawn sprinkler systems are to be quoted by material and using hourly rates within this contract. • Automatic rain shut-off devices, approved by the County, shall be installed. • The contractor shall provide services twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week. • Any damage that occurs while the vendor starts up or shuts down the system due to the vendor following improper start up, shutdown or winterizing procedures will be repaired by the vendor at the vendor’s own expense • All this work shall only be performed after an estimate is provided to a designated representative of Essex County and upon approval of the Director of Parks and Recreation.
