The intent of these specifications from the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs is to outline the type of services desired and the minimum qualifications required for qualified food concession vendors interested in the operation of both the food concession halfway house (or beverage cart) at Francis A. Byrne Golf Course in West Orange, NJ. Francis A. Byrne Golf Course recently completed a major renovation. The course hosts close to 40,000 rounds of golf annually. The Concessionaire shall be authorized to Sell hot and cold food, packaged ice cream, shaved ice, non-alcoholic beverages as well as alcoholic (beer and wine) beverages and packaged goods from the concession area or pushcart such as: • Typical breakfast foods – sandwiches, bagels, coffee, other breakfast items • Typical lunch foods – sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers other lunch items • Variety of beverages (non-alcoholic and beer and wine) There is enough seating for approximately 45-50 people inside and outside. The golf course operates from sunrise to sunset which changes with the season (summer has typically longer operational hours than Spring, Fall and Winter).
