It is constituted as an instrumentality of the State, exercising public and essential governmental functions. The Authority is empowered to own and operate various projects located in the State of New Jersey, including the Atlantic City Expressway, the Atlantic City International Airport, various parking facilities including garages and transit operations. TheSJTA’sMissionistoprovidethe t r a v e l i n g p u b l i c w i t h s a f e a n d e f f i c i e n t t r a n s p o r t a t i o n through the acquisition, construction, maintenance, operation and support of various transportation assets in southern New Jersey. To further that mission, the SJTA is seeking p r o p o s a l s t o p r o v i d e a t u r n k e y a p p r o a c h f o r a P o w e r P u r c h a s e A g r e e m e n t ( “ P P A ” ) t o finance, design, build, install/construct, own, operate and maintain a Photovoltaic Energy (PV) system located on SJTA owned or leased property at the Atlantic City International A i r p o r t ( “ A C Y ” ) .
