The Respondent Attorney to whom the contract is awarded shall perform such duties as prescribed by law and necessary to properly represent the Planning Board. The duties and services the County Planning Board Attorney shall include, but are not limited to, the following: A. Attend all meetings of the Planning Board and its Development Review Committee and provide legal work and representation of the Planning Board at same. Attendance in person at any meeting may be required at the request of the Planning Board Development Review Committee, or Planning Director/Assistant Director ; B. Attend weekly development review meetings upon request from Planning Director/Assistant Director C. Perform all legal work required by the Planning Board as well as any additional duties as required; D. Work with the Board Members and Board professionals to review all applications and matters that come before the Board; E. Prepare all resolutions and correspondence as directed by the Planning Board or Planning Director/Assistant Director and prepare opinions and rulings on questions of law that may arise at Planning Board meetings; F. Coordinate all efforts with the appropriate officials of the administration to effectuate the intent and objectives of the New Jersey County Planning Enabling Act (N.J.S.A. 40:27-1 et seq.) and the Municipal Land Use Law (N.J.S.A. 40:55D-1 et seq.), G. Represent the County Planning Board, as necessary, in any litigation and conduct trials, appeals, and other proceedings based upon any decisions rendered by the Planning Board; H. Maintain all legal papers, documents, memoranda, reports and other records relating to the legal duties of the Planning Board. Upon termination of services with the Planning Board, the Planning Board Attorney shall forthwith surrender to the Planning Board all such property and shall furnish written consent to substitution of his/her successor in any pending actions or proceedings; I. Provide general advice as directed by the Planning Board; and J. Any and all such other matters necessary to properly represent the County Planning Board.
