Review existing available traffic studies, accident reports, etc. to develop warrants in accordance with MUTCD for the signal upgrade. ➤ Design a new traffic signal for the intersection in compliance with MUTCD, 11th Edition. ➤ The proposed design shall reuse as much as possible of the existing flashing signal. ➤ Coordinate the design with Bergen County Department of Public Works, Division of Engineering. ➤ The proposed traffic signal shall have the ability to coordinate traffic movements and cycles with the Bergen County traffic signal at East Glen Avenue and North Maple Avenue. ➤ The proposed traffic light shall incorporate leading green left turn signals activated by overhead sensors where appropriate due to turning volumes. ➤ Any equipment proposed for the traffic signal shall be compatible with the equipment the Village utilizes at other Village traffic signals (lights, arms, masts, controllers, etc.). Work to coordinate with the Village's Department of Public Works, Division of Traffic and Signals.
