Specifications include, but are not limited to: To furnish paving materials, according to specifications, as required, are to be picked up by the Township at the contractor’s plant. 1. Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) shall be in accordance with the requirements of the applicable Articles of the NJDOT 2019 Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, latest edition, with the latest supplements, hereafter referred to as “Standard Specifications”. If applicable, all bid prices shall be subject to an asphalt price adjustment as outlined in the standard specifications. For the purposes of the asphalt price adjustment, the payment shall only be made by the member if the quantities by the member exceed the threshold during the term of the contract. Where applicable, the asphalt price adjustment calculation is to be provided with each invoice to all members. 2. Bid prices shall include the cost of loading the Township’s trucks at point of pick up. 3. Winter patching HMA mix to be “Zero Mix” or equivalent. 4. High Performance Cold Patch (Winter Mix) shall be U.P.M. brand or equivalent. 5. Acceptance of any material will be based on inspection by the Township prior to pick up of said materials. 6. Pick-Up Items: If bidder’s pick-up point is different from bidder’s mailing address, both addresses must be indicated on the proposal form. 7. All materials picked up by members in quantities of 12 ton lots or less must be available without prior notice. 8. All materials must be available at the vendor’s pick-up location within 48 hours of notification by the Township.
